The Opportunity
Kokomo Municipal Stadium was built to serve as more than a sports venue - it was designed to be a year-round community gathering place. The challenge was to preserve the charm and tradition of a classic ballpark while evolving into a modern, multi-use destination capable of supporting baseball, soccer, and special events.
The goal was to create a venue that could flex with the seasons, serve multiple audiences, and remain relevant well beyond game day.
The Approach
Capacity Sports Group positioned Kokomo Municipal Stadium as a fan-first, community-centered destination by blending historic character with modern hospitality amenities.
Signature features like the Umbrella Bar, indoor and open-air suites, and a flexible Party Deck were designed to accommodate everything from intimate gatherings to large group outings. This mix of premium and accessible spaces allows the stadium to serve families, students, corporate groups, and community organizations alike.
The calendar was intentionally diversified, supporting collegiate and summer league baseball, soccer, seasonal programming, and winter ice skating—ensuring consistent year-round engagement.
Why it works
Kokomo Municipal Stadium succeeds because it was built to adapt. By combining tradition with flexibility, the venue remains active, relevant, and deeply connected to its community.
